so, the top 10 details...

1. yes, that's the ring. it's rose gold. a student at school told me it looked like a ring someone could get out of a gumball machine. i might have burst out laughing. i adore it still.
2. march 3o, 2012
3. i'm scared out of my mind.
4. his name is cowboy nick. he doesn't like pictures, or else i'd show you one. he's from arco, idaho. we met in our singles ward. we are two independent, strong souls who happened to need each other. i'm probably more tender than strong. maybe.
5. the proposal - he tried really hard to be patient and creative, and without knowing i halted every attempt he made. i was one sick girl. that's why i halted his attempts. that being said, he had the ring for a week previous to the big moments, and it was burning a hole in his pocket. he also was working a lot during the week, and he works long days folks. the kicker was though, my father was m.i.a. nick couldn't find him to speak to him. so, after several unsuccessful trips to the deseret industries, the realization that my dad was out of town, and knowing he had to go back to work for five 14 hour shifts...nick broke down and panicked. this consisted of him taking me to broulims, then we headed on a drive out through the dry farms, and then he caved in and spilled the whole story. he tried to be creative, but it turned into him asking me. of course i said yes. we're like that. simple.
6. still scared out of my mind.
7. my sister is getting married the week before. she's gung-ho. it's crazy.
8. i might seem lost when you talk to me about anything wedding, because it's unfamiliar territory, plus, it's the only topic that people are interested in around these here parts. even in carpool.
9. my students are nervous that my name won't be miss dunn. it will be mrs. reynolds. they spotted the ring before i said anything.
10. i'm grateful for family members and friends who are willing to help.

Dear A, It's your birthday. I thought I would jot down some notes on what it feels like to live, breathe, and be at this stage in your life. 1. Last night your husband realized that a cake could be nice for your birthday. He panicked, because there is no place to purchase one in the middle of no where. You got nominated to make your own cake. It's going to be delicious. 2. You teach 7th and 8th graders. You've been working on diagramming simple subjects, simple predicates, prepositional phrases, and articles. It is always delightful.  3. You have been great at exercising at least 30 minutes each day. 4. You are attempting to teach piano to three students. It's not your favorite thing, but you're learning to enjoy it. 5. You love your green smoothie each morning. 6. The minimum you drive each day is 120 miles. 7. Cowboy and you are in a good scripture reading/praying groove. You even have FHE each Monday. 8. There is no snow to been had or seen in yo...

sometimes I need only to stand wherever I am to be blessed..

Dear N, I can't believe we've been married five years, today. We've laughed, played, argued, traveled, worked and become something we couldn't have achieved without each other. There's a primary song that says, "God, gave us families to help us become what he wants us to be." He knew I needed you to 'become' a better me. You're my big dreamer and a lingerer. You're my passionate hobbyist and a sincere do-gooder. You're my tease and a talk-it-through-er. So , " Tell me, what is it you plan to do   with your one wild and precious life? I plan to spend mine with you. Much Love, A (quotes by Mary Oliver)
